Students from Grades 2-6, wanting to be chosen for our 2026 SRC, wrote speeches and delivered them to their classes. Classes voted for their chosen one and then each unit held their grand final to elect 2 reps on behalf of each year level. Congratulations to each and every student who stepped out of their comfort zone to have a go, I know students who were both eleated and disappointed (an opportunity to build resilience).

Unleashing Personal Potential (UPP)
On Wednesday 18th March, School Captains, Student Representative Council, Wellbeing Leaders and 3 reps from baring djuwima participated in a student leadership course. It was named 'Aspire Higher' and was run by awesome people at UPP.
Students demonstrated maturity, insightfulness and respect as they worked their way through leadership learning that centered on challenges, fun activities and planning for our year ahead.
The above masthead image (everyday items) were used as a metaphor for students to choose the one that spoke to them. Some reasonings included:

Students are brimming with ideas and changes they cannot wait to make happen during their 2026 school year. Some include a Colour Run, a junior Gaga Pit and to make the bush block more useable.
