Stage 3 Works to Commence

Capital works will begin on a bold new suite of sporting and performing arts facilities at our Kildare Campus next week. Commercial Industrial Construction Group (CICG) has been awarded the tender to complete Stage 3 of our Master Plan.

The centrepiece of Stage 3 works is a state of the art Multi-Function Centre featuring an indoor stadium with two full size basketball/netball courts and retractable seating for 800 people, a 250-seat theatrette, performance stage, foyer, kiosk, and full amenities including change rooms and toilets.

There will also be an extension to the Stage 2 Learning Building to provide more classroom space for students.

In more exciting news, we've been granted approval for the Stage 3 plans to be expanded to include several additional facilities that were originally planned for later stages.

These will include:

● A six-lane running/athletics track

● Two tennis courts

● State-of-the art AV/theatre system

● Upgraded theatre seating

● Sprung Dance Floor (designed to flex and absorb impact)

● Carpark Upgrade

● Additional Solar Panels

● Indigenous Artwork

● Extensive landscaping

● Additional Furniture and Equipment

The State Government has contributed $6 million to Stage 3 of our capital works plan as part of a $450 million package to build and upgrade low-fee Catholic and independent schools across the state.

This is incredibly exciting news for our school community as it means we will have everything on our wish list built at our new campus within just three-and-a-half years of us opening.

That is unheard of in the education setting, particularly in regional areas. Many new schools and new campuses wait 10, even 20 years, to access the types of facilities that our Kildare Campus students, staff and the entire College community will have access to in the very near future. This outcome is testament to the hard work and dedication of our leadership team who have been working tirelessly on this project, and to the ongoing support of our entire staff and community.

The Multi-Function Centre, athletics track and tennis courts will act as a dynamic platform for students and the broader community to engage in physical education, creative exploration, performance and expression. Whether through the arts, sporting or community events, the centre has been designed to inspire and enable the next generation of performers, athletes, creators and thinkers.

Stage 3 works are expected to commence next week and are scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
