From the Year 6 Classroom

Welcome to Term 3!

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and is feeling refreshed for another exciting term. We have a busy semester ahead, with plenty of opportunities for students to learn, challenge themselves and create lasting memories.

There are lots of exciting events to look forward to, so please keep an eye on upcoming dates in the school calendar. One of the highlights this term is our Lightning Premiership, where students can choose to participate in netball, football, soccer or tee-ball. We are also looking forward to our excursion to Beechworth and celebrating Grandparents' Day, both of which promise to be wonderful experiences for our Year 6 students.

Please note that there are two upcoming pupil-free days this term:

• Monday 28 July
• Wednesday 5 August

A reminder that regular reading at home continues to be an important part of your child's learning. We encourage all students to complete their weekly reading. If your child is looking for a new book or would like recommendations, please encourage them to speak with their teacher, who can help direct them to suitable books available in our school library.

Finally, we have noticed an increasing number of students attending school out of uniform. Wearing the correct school uniform each day helps foster a sense of pride and belonging within our school community. We appreciate your support in ensuring your child comes to school in the correct uniform each day.
