VM Excursion

In recent weeks, the Year 11 VM Class had the opportunity to visit the Old Melbourne Gaol, positioned adjacent to the current RMIT Campus in the CBD. Students were fortunate enough to visit the watchhouse, cellblocks, even the gallows, and bore witness to death masks of Victoria's most notorious criminals, including Ned Kelly.
As part of their studies into Road Safety, and the judicial process, the students also engaged in a mock trial that dealt directly with culpable driving offences. Each student, cast in the roles of judge and jury, took to the stands to hear the facts of the case and delivered their lines with gusto and grace, demonstrating their commendable communication skills.
A great experience was had by all, and once again the Senior students represented themselves and the school proudly.
