🌏Culture Week 2025: A Vibrant Celebration of Diversity & Community 🌏

Culture Week at our school, held from Monday 26th to Friday 30th of May, was a vibrant, joyful celebration of the many cultures that make up our school community. With strong student participation, creative expression, and an atmosphere of respect and curiosity, the week was a resounding success.

Monday kicked off with Henna Art stations, where students explored traditional body art across cultures with the guidance of a visiting artist and talented student volunteers. The Origami Station in the library offered a quiet space for creativity, while the Cultural Karaoke and Performances brought the Quad to life with song and talent from around the world.

Tuesday featured a heart-warming Food Sharing Experience in the Performance Centre. Students and families shared traditional dishes, giving others a literal taste of their culture. The event highlighted the powerful role that food plays in building community and connection.

Wednesday, coinciding with National Reconciliation Week, focused on reflection and respect. Students created badges during recess and lunch while Indigenous music played across the grounds, providing an opportunity to honour First Nations cultures and acknowledge the significance of reconciliation in our country’s history and future.

Thursday saw faces painted with pride during our Country Flag Face Painting sessions. The Quad buzzed with colour and conversation as students proudly represented their heritage or explored new cultural symbols.

Friday ended the week on a high note with our Cultural Dress Runway and student Performances on the basketball courts. The energy was electric as students confidently showcased their cultural attire, followed by an array of performances celebrating global traditions through music, dance, and storytelling.

Throughout the week, country flags adorned the school, and cultural music echoed through the grounds at recess and lunch, creating an immersive and celebratory environment.

A big thank you goes out to all the students, staff, and community members who helped organise and participate in the week’s activities. Your enthusiasm and respect made this event more than just a celebration, it was a living expression of our school values: Curiosity, Kindness, Excellence, and Connection.
