Year 9 Gulam Barrawarn Camp

Year 9 Gulam Barrawarn Camp this term offered students three action-packed days of challenge and shared experience in the heart of the Grampians at Silverband Lodge in Hall’s Gap. Students were immersed in a variety of outdoor activities designed to build resilience, teamwork, and confidence.

Each day featured activity rotations that challenged students physically and mentally. Through hiking, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, navigating the high ropes and playing mini golf, students embraced the opportunity to push themselves beyond their comfort zones. The Pinnacle hike on day three was a highlight, providing sweeping views across the landscape and a shared sense of achievement.

During the evening students worked together to cook dinner for everyone, relaxed with games, catching up with friends, or sitting by the campfire. A trivia night was a highlight of our evening activities, with lots of energy and laughter, with dessert shared mid-round as a treat.

Barrawarn Camp was about pushing ourselves, being kind, connecting with others and creating lasting memories.
