What will I learn?

This is a 50-hour course. Students enrol in the Outdoor Experience weekend programs at the beginning of each academic year. Students may select as many camps as they wish, however, to meet the requirements of the TCE course, students must complete at least two separate programs from the list below.

Weekend Activity Programs may include:

  • Rock Climbing
  • Surfing
  • Sea Kayaking
  • Mountain biking

Many students go on to become involved in Outdoor Experiences as a way of exploring wilderness areas or become involved in the Adventure Tourism Industry as a casual guide/instructor. This course flows neatly into VET Certificate II Outdoor Recreation or the Outdoor Leadership course.
