Our students have been busy with recent work placements. They have done such a great job heading out to worksites and working with an employer for a few days. Great job students!
This week, our Year 10s went over to MECS and did rock climbing activities, while others went out to share pancakes with students at a local primary school.
Year 11s recently got to go and visit the Fox Classic Car Collection in the city which was really cool!
The Year 12s are keeping on with their community projects and preparations for their School Camp to Darwin later in the year are underway.
Interactive Taster Days – Recap!
We recently had the pleasure of hosting a few groups of students from various schools for a VET (Vocational Education and Training) taster session. The goal was to engage and educate students and other educators on the subject options they can do as part of their VCE/VCE-VM programs at school.
The teachers ran short, introductory activities related to their trades, making pencil case boxes, learning how to wire up switch and light circuit, cook some pizzas and more! Some MECS students will have a similar opportunity later in the year. Check out the photos!
