Welcome to Term 3 of Sports.
This term consists of Basketball for years 7-10, Table Tennis, One Day Volleyball Series and Division Athletics.
We have already kicked off the Term with 3 of our Soccer teams representing the school in the Western Metropolitan Regional Finals.
Intermediate Girls
Our year 9-10 FDP girls played some fantastic football on the day and won their group comfortably with wins against Williamstown HS (3-0), Sunbury SC (4-0) and Bemin SC (3-0) to qualify for the final. The girls unfortunately couldn’t replicate their group phase form and lost to a quality Western Heights team in the final. We finished the day as runners-up.
Senior Girls
Our senior girls finished second in their group with a 2-1 win against Williamston HS and a 2-0 loss to Islamic College of Melbourne but failed to qualify for the final.
Senior Boys
Our senior boys yielded in all three games with straight sets losses against Bemin Secondary College (2-0), Lakeview SC (3-0) and Williamstown HS (2-1).
Thank you to all our students, families and staff that supported our teams in interschool sport soccer this year.

Year 8 Girls and Boys Soccer WMR Final
In the last week of Term 2 our Year 8 Girls and Boys represented the school at the WMR Soccer Finals.
Our Year 8 FDP girls came up with some tough competition in the first game against Western Heights. The girls then regrouped to play Sunbury Downs which was lost 0-1 with a goal to Sunbury Downs right on the siren. Game 3 against Altona was quite even to half time with Altona Gate scoring 3 late 2nd half goals.
Our Year 8 FDP boys had a mixed round, losing 2 games and winning one.
Congratulations to both teams and support staff.
Year 7 Girls Netball
Our Year 7 Girls Netball team competed in the Western Metropolitan Region Finals at Altona Sports Centre in the last week of Term 2. Coming up against some tough competition in Maribyrnong College, Sunbury College and Williamstown HS, the girls tried their hardest and never gave up.
Congratulations to the squad of Parisa, Jayda, Harley, Mia, Elaina, Michelle, Emily, Law Eh and Lorena.
We look forward to your continued improvement next year.
Thank you to Ms Bruce and the VET sport and recreation students for coaching.
Senior Boys and Girls Basketball
Our Senior Basketball Teams competed in Inter School Sports at Eagle Stadium late last Term.
Competing against Suzanne Cory, Hoppers Crossing and Werribee SC the senior students played with vigour, determination and a never give up attitude. The boys’ team had a win first game and a close loss in the remaining 2 games.
The girls were very resilient as they had only 5 players, never giving up and taking each game right up to the opposition.
The senior team consisted of:
Saamir, Logan, Abel Akol, Logan, Michel, Harley, Mitchell, Elijah, Demetrius, Liam, Isobel, Aspen, Abbey, Raquel and Jorja.
State Cross Country
A huge congratulations to Krista Gadsden who represented the school in the State Cross Country on the 16th of July. Krista came 40th out of 77 athletes.
Krista also demonstrated great sportsmanship while running. She was passing runners and come across a girl that started to walk and encouraged her to keep running. They ran together for the rest of the race.
We are all so proud of you Krista.
