Assistant Principal's Report
As we progress through term 3, there is a wonderful sense of energy and positivity across our Year 7 cohort. It has been fantastic to welcome students back from the holiday break and see them reconnect with friends, engage enthusiastically in their learning, and embrace the opportunities that a new term brings.
Looking around the school, I am continually reminded of just how much our Year 7 students have grown since the beginning of the year. The students who arrived in January, excited but understandably nervous about the transition to secondary school, have developed into confident members of our learning community. They navigate the school with confidence, demonstrate increasing independence, and continue to build the skills needed to thrive both academically and socially.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is watching students discover their place within the College. Whether through the classroom, sporting teams, clubs, performances, leadership opportunities, or simply positive interactions with peers and staff. Our Year 7 students are building meaningful connections and contributing to the vibrant culture of our school.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
Most of our Year 7 students have made an outstanding start to the term, demonstrating enthusiasm, responsibility, and a strong commitment to our school values. As we are now in Semester 2, it has been wonderful to see students settling confidently into their learning, embracing new subjects, teachers, and challenges, while continuing to build positive and respectful relationships with both their peers and staff.
One of the highlights of the term has been our celebration of Multicultural Week. Year 7 students enthusiastically participated in a range of activities that recognised and celebrated the rich diversity within our school community. Through sharing cultural experiences, traditions and performances, students showed respect, curiosity, and appreciation for the many cultures that make our school such a vibrant place. The students who participated have helped to create a strong sense of belonging and community across the year level and school.
We are also incredibly proud of the way Year 7 students have engaged in our whole-school assemblies and fashion show for Multicultural Week. It has been particularly exciting to see students beginning to take ownership of our year level assemblies by helping to plan, present, and lead different sections. Their willingness to take on leadership opportunities reflects the growth we have seen in such a short time. 7H have stepped outside of their comfort zones by running the full Year 7 Assembly for the first time. They have contributed positively, demonstrated confidence and respectfully represented their year level.
Congratulations to all Year 7 students for their positive start to the term. Your enthusiasm, participation, and commitment to school life have been outstanding. We look forward to seeing you continue to grow as learners and leaders throughout the remainder of the year. Keep up the fantastic work, Year 7!
