Mid-Year Music Concert

Thornbury High School’s Mid-Year Concert was a great night that celebrated the hard work and talent of our music students. The audience enjoyed performances from the Brass Ensemble, Choir, Stage Band, String Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, VCE Ensemble and many other groups throughout the evening.

It was especially exciting to see our Year 7 and Year 8 students performing with confidence and showing how much they have learned this year. They should all be proud of getting up on stage and sharing their music with the school community.

The concert had something for everyone, with a mix of different styles and performances that kept the audience entertained from start to finish. To finish off the night, the Concert Band performed The Lord of the Rings, bringing the concert to an exciting end and leaving the audience with a performance to remember.

A big congratulations to all of the students and a huge thank you to our music staff for all of the time and effort they put into preparing our ensembles for the concert. We'd also like to say goodbye to Sarah Doran, who has been a valued member of our music program and led two of our ensembles this year. We have loved having her as part of the Thornbury High School community and thank her for all of the support and dedication she has given our students. We wish her all the very best for the future.
