Reconciliation Week

đż National Reconciliation Week đż
In Week 6 Craigieburn Primary School is proud to participate in National Reconciliation Week, held annually from 27 May to 3 June. This is a special time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The 2025 theme, âNow More Than Ever,â reminds us that reconciliation is a journey for all Australians â one that requires bravery, respect, and action.
Throughout the week, students will be taking part in classroom activities and discussions to help deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.Â
Additionally, we will be acknowledging Reconciliation Week and National Sorry Day on Friday the 30th of May (Week 6) at our school assembly to reflect on the importance of reconciliation as well as share some of the learning that students have done. Families are of course welcome to attend.
We encourage families to continue these important conversations at home. Letâs walk together towards a more just, equitable, and reconciled Australia. â¤ď¸đ¤đÂ
