Arriving at school on time is just as important as attending school. Teachers operate a timetable with established routines and students arriving late not only miss the morning routine but also miss the commencement of a lesson. It is less stressful for students when they arrive at school on time as they can have a settling down period with their friends and participate in the very important morning routine from before the official school day commences.
