Principal's Report

Dear CPS Community,

We hope all our mums, grandmothers, sisters, careers, aunties and special someone’s had a lovely day last Sunday. We send a BIG thank you to our parent volunteers and the Community Events and Fundraising Committee for planning and putting together a wonderful selection of goodies for our Mother’s Day stall. Our parent volunteers were there to help students with their purchases last week and ensure everyone had the opportunity to buy a gift for their mother or special person. We sold out of most items, which is amazing! We collected $3854.60 through the sales of goods, making our profit approximately $1954.00. Thank you to the CPS families for supporting this event.

We had a great number of dads, uncles, brothers and some mums joining our Mother’s Day Card making afternoon last Wednesday. Thank you to Mr Talbot and the Engagement Team for planning and preparing this wonderful community event for our CPS families.

Our School Review is underway, we have completed 2 days out of 3. Thank you to the parents, students and staff who have been involved in focus groups. Our final panel day will be on Wednesday 21st May. Our school review panel consist of our school reviewer, Senior Educational Instructional Leader (SEIL), x 1 school council member, and two challenge partners (Principals from other schools) along with our CPS Leadership team. It is wonderful to be leading another school review for Craigieburn Primary School celebrating the achievements and growth for the past 4 years, our panel will work together to develop our school goals and targets for our next School Strategic Plan.

This week Ms Allen and Mr Carroll and I are attending a 2 -day Hume Meri-bek Network Conference with other principals, school leaders and DET regional staff. The theme of the conference is Leading with Purpose: Strengthening School Improvement through Collaboration and Implementation. We look forward to sharing back with our staff and school community the professional learning looking at how it can support and develop our work at CPS.
