The students of all year levels have expressed their feelings of calmness as they continued to explore and express their creativity while learning to use watercolour paint. Year 5 & 6 students commented on the different qualities of watercolour noticing the differences between watercolour paint and acrylic paints. They said it is calming learning new painting skills.
Year 3 & 4s talked about enjoying painting, ‘it is fun’.
A few of the students commented that washing their brush after using each new colour was ‘different’, they are not used to it’.
Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed every minute. They become very focused on creating, using lots of colours to express themselves. They are getting used to using their brush correctly.
The consensus from all the classes is that they are having fun and they feel relaxed while learning a new way to paint.
