Principal’s News

Nicholas Boyhan

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thanks for your support of Katie and the team while I was attending the Outer Eastern Zone Principals Conference on Thursday and Friday.  By all accounts, things ran quite smoothly. On Thursday our network engaged with personnel from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools on the Science of Learning and support services available to assist families and students experiencing difficulties navigating the school system.

On Friday we continued our work with Maria Ruberto (Psychologist) on Neuroscience and Brain Function.  We looked at the way people function when faced with adversity and how they can 'calm their brains' to allow proactive and rational thinking and to be less reactive.

Thanks to Katie and the team for keeping everything on track in my absence.

Severe weather impacted residents

Over the past few weeks there have been several severe weather warnings issued. We understand this this may have caused a great deal of anxiety in our community.

Of note - many residents were affected by the severe weather on Sunday 1 September 2024. Damaged properties, fallen trees, landslides, road issues, and power or network outages have occurred across the region.

Conditions can change quickly, so please stay alert and follow advice from the SES and VicEmergency.
