Oh what a night!!! Monday night we held our Wellbeing Expo in the SPA center where we had lots of local groups and organisations come along to the night to present the services they offer to the community! It was wonderful to see so many families join us for the night of fun! The kids looked like they had a wonderful time engaging with the fun activities the local groups organised as well as our wonderful craft activities organised by St Joes Staff! We really hope you enjoyed the night and got a lot out of it! If you were unable to make the night, please take the time to browse the flyers provided on the night on the following Newsletter page- Wellbeing Expo Service Flyers.
One of the local groups- Impact Pilates in Worri Yallock wanted us to share an offer for Parents!
The past two weeks in PBL we have been focusing on when it is and isn't ok to blurt during class time. One of our school values is RESPECT. In the classroom we discussed with the students how we can be Respectful when we have something we need to say to a teacher. In classrooms, students identified when they believed it was ok to blurt and when it isn't. One big thing we spoke about was it is ok to blurt if it is an emergency! This has helped students identify how we can be respectful when a teacher or our peers are teaching and when we can save our blurts for later. Here is an example we discussed with students:
After this, classes created some posters to showcase how Blurts can affect ours and others learning.
This week is National Child Protection Week. This year National Child Protection Week will continue to champion the message ‘Every child in every community needs a fair go’.
This message captures the essence of National Child Protection Week which aims to promote a safe and supported life for every child, now and into the future.
