Maths Fun

Last week with the power out we had a day where we played lots of maths games! One of our fun maths games involved the students moving around in a circle. When the music stopped the students had to jump into a hoop, flip over the card, subertise (work out how many dots were on the tens frame) and take that many balls from the middle and put them into their hoop. They had to do it as quickly as they could until we had a winner!

In Maths this week we have been learning about equal sharing and making equal groups! The Foundation students have been practising sharing objects equally into two and three groups. Here are some pictures of our sharing, we are very focused!

Writing

This week, in Writing, we started to learn about adjectives! We have learnt that adjectives make our writing more interesting. This week we have been colouring in a picture and then writing some sentences about our pictures, making sure we are using adjectives!

Inquiry

This term in Inquiry we have been learning about puppets and making different types of puppets! This week in Inquiry we were learning about sock puppets!! Here are some photos of our sock puppets! They are so creative!

The Foundation students will be having a showcase of their final puppet creation on Tuesday 17th September from 2:45 - 3:15 pm in the Foundation Classroom. We would love our Foundation families to come along and see what we have created!
