Media and Photography News!
Term 3 is coming along well for our Media and Photography students with many exciting projects underway.
Students in Years 9 and 10 have commenced the Media: Photo and Social Media elective and thoroughly enjoyed learning how to adjust camera settings and complete practical photography tasks with their peers.
Year 11 students are currently working on comparing director’s styles and understanding how the context affects the reception of films.
They are looking forward to planning and preparing their own productions later in the semester!
Year 12 students are currently in the process of filming, photographing, editing and animating their final School Assessed Task (SAT) productions.
The Year 12 students are grateful for all the help other students and community members have been able to support them with.
Thank you to all the parents, teachers and friends helping with acting in their SAT productions and or coordinating afterschool filming and pick-ups.
We are all very excited to see their final products soon!

Yr 9/10 Dance Elective (Student Reflection)
This elective was run by an outside dance company and taught by trained dance professionals instead of a regular teacher!
The class is an artistic and collaborative space where students can express their creativity and build physical confidence working in teams and as a whole class.
In Term 1 we learnt new choreography each week, and we were assessed on behaviour and progression in the danced routines. In Term 2, we had the opportunity to branch out and create our own dance in a group.
KEY SKILLS LEARNT: rhythm, hand tutting, physical coordination and teamwork.
Overall, this elective as a great confidence encouraging class to partake in, highly recommend! "
