Introducing....Caroline Leavy

It is with much excitement I started at Scoresby Secondary College. I have worked in a few schools nearby and was thrilled when I was appointed here as Drama and English teacher, Deputy Head of Senior School and Head of Production. 

I have been the director of Performing Arts and Wellbeing and Engagement at Highvale Secondary College (2000-2016) and Vermont Secondary College (2017-2025) and have run their school’s production. 

Having taught Drama, English and Literature for over 28 years in very large schools, I was determined to search for a community.

A school where the individual has space to is seen, heard and valued. I also wanted to give back by reenergising whole school production and can’t wait to get started on this. 

My classes are based on the three Rs- Respect for others, Respect for our environment and space and Respect for self. I model these principals and guide students to achieve academic excellence while also ensuring their well-being, social and emotional development and their sense of self are nurtured and enhanced. 

Outside of school, I am heavily involved in theatre- directing shows, going to and supporting shows and advocating for young performers to experience and create shows. Long live creativity and the arts.
