What a way to kick off the year!

The Band elective has launched with energy, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of noise (the good kind!). After a long summer break, students have jumped straight back in getting reacquainted with their instruments, finding their groove, and learning how to play together as a team again.

We have students playing electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboard….but we still need a singer and a band name!

It’s been fantastic to watch their creativity come alive. They have already begun writing their very own original song, collaborating, sharing ideas, and building something that truly belongs to them. With everyone contributing, there’s no doubt they’ll smash out their first original track and be itching to start the next one before we know it.

I can’t wait to see how their musicianship grows over the year and where the music takes them.
