Chess State Finals

On Friday 17th October Nishi and Jayda (both Year 9) played in the Secondary Girls Chess State Final at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School.

Both girls had success winning several games. Nishi got 5.5 points out of 7 points in the tournament and won bronze for year 9-10 girls. Our school collectively scored 8.5 and was 8th out of 26 schools. This is another great achievement for Viewbank College Chess Club!! Well done Nishi and Jayda.
