Year 7 Students Tackle Real-World Challenges with Technology and Creativity

On the 27th and 29th of October 2025, our Year 7 students took part in an inspiring full-day STEM experience at the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School. 

Classes 7A, 7B, and 7C attended on the 27th, while 7D and 7E visited on the 29th.

Throughout the day, students explored how Science, Technology, and Design Thinking come together to solve real-world problems. They engaged in hands-on activities involving 3D printing, laser cutting, Micro:bit programming, and robotic arms, and even had the opportunity to design and build their own digital games.

Using the Design Thinking Process, students brainstormed, prototyped, and tested innovative solutions, gaining valuable insights into collaboration, creativity, and technological innovation. It was an exciting and enriching experience that truly brought learning to life!
