Congratulations to Our Maths Talent Quest Achievers!

Over the course of Term 2, the dedicated accelerated maths classes in Year 7 and 8 spent time each week refining and polishing their entries for the Maths Talent Quest. All students presented thoughtful and creative investigations, and the school selected the top three entries per year level to be assessed externally for the competition. Their hard work, creativity, and persistence have paid off with outstanding results!
🏆 High Distinction AwardsTwo groups earned the highest achievement in the competition — a High Distinction — and were invited to attend an awards ceremony at Melbourne University on the 27th of October to celebrate their achievements alongside other top-performing students from across the state. Parents were thrilled to attend and support their children as they received recognition for their impressive efforts.
Year 7 – “Which School Should Johnny Go To? Public or Private?”Claire Li, Indigo Thomas & Marion Cassar➡️ This group also received a National Award for their exceptional project.
Year 8 – “Physics Behind Jack and the Beanstalk”Mason Chan, Lucas Guo, Kha Ho & Ethan Rawal➡️ This group was further recognised with a Science Institute Award for excellence in their cross-disciplinary investigation.
