Identity and Mission

Teaching Assistant, Mrs Zelah Dutta-Nielsen, along with her daughters Zarah (Yr 10) and Zerena (Yr 9) recently travelled to Kenya, volunteering their time at a school.

Prior to departing, our Years 3 and 4 students created some colourful handmade cards, decorated with Australia based images. These cards were delivered by Zarah and Zerena to the students. ASANTE SANA (in Swahili) - THANK YOU with big heartfelt smiles was what the students said when they received these lovely cards.

The students were so happy about receiving these special cards that they even held them when they went to line up for school lunch! It meant so much to them.

In return, the students drew some amazing art and made cards with the blank A4 paper and textas given to them by the Dutta-Nielsen family. These artworks and card will be passed on to our Years 3 and 4 classes.
