My Mind Check
A reminder to families that our school is proudly participating in My Mind Check, a new mental health and wellbeing check-in tool developed by youth mental health experts and funded by the Australian Government.
As part of this initiative, My Mind Check is currently being trialled with students in Years 2, 4, and 8. Our next round of check-ins will take place during Wellbeing time on Thursday 6 November.
During the 30-minute session, students will use a computer or tablet to answer age-appropriate questions about how they are feeling. Participation is voluntary, and students can skip any questions they do not wish to answer. Only authorised school staff will view the results, and follow-up support will be offered where appropriate.
My Mind Check is not a clinical assessment, but rather a way to give students a voice, build mental health awareness, and connect families and schools with useful resources. All data is handled in line with strict Commonwealth privacy and security standards.
If you have any questions or would like more information about My Mind Check, please do not hesitate to contact the school. You can also visit mymindcheck.org.au or watch this video to learn more.
Thank you for your support in helping us prioritise the wellbeing of our students.
