Year 8 STRIVE

Heath Whiley

Bruny Island Camp

Year 8 Camp was such a fun and memorable experience. I really enjoyed sleeping in tents with my friends, playing games, and taking part in all the activities. We spent heaps of time hanging out, exploring, and trying new things together. One of the best parts was going rafting - it was so exciting paddling through the water and trying to stay on while the teachers kept trying to pull us off!
We also got to visit The Neck on Bruny Island, which looked amazing from up high. Along with this we got to complete the Fluted Cape Walk, a challenging but beautiful walk. Another highlight was learning about the history of Bruny Island. It was interesting to hear about the people who lived there long ago and how the island has changed over time.
Being outdoors, learning new things, and having fun with friends made the whole trip really special. Camp was an experience we’ll always remember.
