Parkdale Secondary College Shines at Kingston Division Athletics
Parkdale Secondary College had an outstanding day at the Kingston Division Athletics Carnival, showcasing our depth of talent across both track and field. Our students delivered exceptional performances, securing numerous podium finishes and bringing home a host of gold medals.
We are thrilled to congratulate our Age Group Champions:
James Inglis – 14 Boys
Joel Dean – 15 Boys
Kahsia Lockwood – 15 Girls
Noah Jeanes – 16 Boys
Jeremiah Jeanes – 18–20 Boys
Sophie Cheep – 18–20 Girls
Parkdale’s dominance also shone through in the team events, with our Under 15 & 17 Boys both taking out the top spots in the 4 x 100m relays, running impressive times of 49.74 seconds and 47.85 seconds respectively, leading us to claim the coveted Overall Boys Aggregate Winner award.
The day was also marked by some outstanding record-breaking performances. Jeremiah Jeanes set two new Kingston records with a Triple Jump of 13.28m and a Long Jump of 6.23m, while Jacsen soared to a new record in the High Jump with 1.87m.
Congratulations to all students who competed and we look forward to seeing you compete at the next carnival, the SMR Championships on the 9th October.










Parkdale’s Gold Rush Continues at Athletics
Parkdale Secondary College continued its outstanding athletics success at the Southern Metropolitan Region (SMR) Championships on Thursday 9th October. A dedicated team of 32 athletes proudly represented the College, delivering exceptional performances across the day. Their hard work and determination paid off, with 14 students qualifying for the State Finals to be held at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, on Monday 20th October.
Gold medallists included Eliza Ayres (1500m, 3km), Barry Bagavathi Athithan (Triple Jump), Eden Benton (800m), Sophie Cheep (Long Jump), Joel Dean (800m, 1500m), Jeremiah Jeanes (Long Jump, Triple Jump), Imogen Jeffery (Shot Put, Discus), Jacsen Scaife (High Jump), and Harry Scurrah (100m, 200m, Relay).
Parkdale’s relay teams also shone, with Xander Louey, Alex Pizer-Di Ciero, Zavier Van Der Merwe, and Harry Scurrah combining for a dominant first-place finish in the 17 boys 4 x 100m relay. The 15 boys relay team of Ben Linton, Harry Burggraaff, Taj Brown, and Declan Pitkin also impressed, finishing in a strong third place.
Other standout efforts came from Cooper Bayliss, Freya Livingston, Kahsia Lockwood, and many more who achieved podium finishes and personal bests.
