Year 12 Final Assembly & Celebrations
Last week marked a significant moment in the journey of our Year 12 students, as they participated in their Final Assembly, a memorable occasion for both students and staff. We would like to commend the entire cohort on the way they conducted themselves throughout the celebrations. Their respectful and positive attitude was a reflection of the values we uphold at our school.
The themed dress-up days brought colour, fun, and excitement to the week, showcasing both the creativity and camaraderie of our graduating students. It was wonderful to see students enjoying these moments together, creating lasting memories as they wrap up their time at school.
Thank you to all staff who stayed back on Thursday to help prepare the breakfast for our Year 12 students, your time and effort were greatly appreciated and contributed to a wonderful morning. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the senior school team; Year Level Leader, Faya Mrad, Year 12 coordinators Carly Gaffney and Lucas Vogt, and our Senior School Assistant Kelly Pondard, for their work and unwavering support of the cohort throughout the year. Their guidance, care, and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring a positive and successful final year for our students.
We now look forward to formally celebrating the Class of 2025 with their families at the upcoming Valedictory Dinner on Thursday 20th November, an evening to celebrate their hard work, growth, and the bright futures that lie ahead.
As we turn our attention to the final chapter of our Year 12 students’ secondary education, we wish them all the very best as they prepare for their final VCE exams, commencing Tuesday, 28 October. This is the time to stay focused, maintain a healthy study routine, and reach out for support when needed. Remember, exams are not only a test of knowledge, but also of resilience, time management, and the ability to give your personal best.
We also wish our Year 12s every success as they take their next steps beyond school. Talent and opportunity can only take you so far, it’s the qualities of passion, resilience, commitment, determination, and hard work that will carry you the rest of the way toward achieving your goals.
Finally, we would also like to congratulate the following students who received the following awards at the recent Applied Learning Awards:
VCE VM Student of the Year: Zahara Duri
Future Vocational Pathways Award: Riley Freestone
We are proud of their achievements and the dedication they have shown throughout their studies.
Year 11 – The Road to Year 12 Begins
Our Year 11 students are now well into their final assessment tasks for the year, with exams just around the corner. These upcoming exams are an essential stepping stone as students prepare for the rigours of Year 12. Treat them seriously, use your time wisely, and seek feedback to improve, every effort you make now will serve you well next year.
Our VCE VM students will soon be participating in their work experience block, which provides an invaluable opportunity to apply their learning in real-world settings and explore future pathways. We encourage all students to embrace this experience with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Students have now received their 2026 subject allocations, which marks the exciting next step in your senior school journey. Use this time to begin thinking about your goals and aspirations for Year 12, it will be here before you know it.
Requests for subject change should be emailed to Mrs. Treverton. All requests will be considered but are subject to availability.
