Year 8 - Morrisby Profiling Introduction

The Pathways Team is looking forward to working with our Year 8 students to complete an introduction to the Morrisby Profiling Program in a special pilot devised specifically for Year 8 students. Students will complete an introductory session and complete the Aptitudes (Interests) Questionnaire and then complete a follow up session to unpack their results. We have scheduled time in Term 4 to complete the review session in classes and students will have time ahead of this to complete their Profiling.

Year 9 – World Ready

Our Year 9 students took part in “World Ready” Pathways Day, designed to help them explore their future career options and develop essential employability skills.

Success Integrated (DJ and beats included!) kicked off our day with a ‘Shape your Destiny’ workshop that guided students through goal setting and self-reflection.

Students built practical job-seeking skills by creating their first resumes and cover letters and exploring personal presentation through Parkdale Secondary College’s  Careers website. These activities helped students understand the importance of presenting themselves confidently and professionally.

To finish the day, students competed in rounds of Career Scattergories and Jeopardy, testing their knowledge of different industries, pathways, and job skills in a fun and collaborative way.

The “World Ready” day gave students an opportunity to reflect on their aspirations, gain career confidence, and take another step toward life beyond school.
