State School Spectacular

Victoria State School Spectacular 2025
This year marks the second year Lyndale Secondary Collage has participated in the Mass Dance as a part of the annual Victorian State School Spectacular at John Cain Aren, with 82 schools all over Victoria coming together to produce an amazing performance.
Over the course of this year, 16 Lyndale students have been rehearsing every Monday, perfecting, learning and remembering 7 dances which we performed alongside many other students who have come together as a state to execute over time, one big spectacular that is aired on Channel 7 in December.
One Year 7 student in particular from out school Hamsini Karthik auditioned to be a Principal Dancer in this year’s spectacular and got through auditions and did an AMAZING job on stage. With rehearsals every weekend until the big performance in September, her commitment to school and dance was amazing and we are so lucky to have someone with that much commitment and amazing performing arts talent at our school.
To all 16 of the other students, including me who were apart of the Mass Dance, I can speak on behalf for all the other students on how amazing this experience was. We made new friends with some of the younger students from Scoresby Primary School who were located next to us, became a role model for other student’s backstage keeping them in line and making sure they listen and overall make the experience memorable for everyone.
I would also like to give a HUGE thank you to Mr Weaver and Priyanka for committing to this team and all the work you guys have done with costumes, rehearsals, transport and making our time together so much more fun, and most importantly Mrs Kennedy for making this happen for us and organizing everything else behind the scenes.
