The Learning Zone

Over the past two week, our Year 3 and Year 5 students participated in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).
While the media often focuses on the scores, we want to take a moment to celebrate something just as important: the way our students showed up.
For our Year 3 students, this was their first experience with this formal national testing. Moving from everyday learning to a structured assessment can be a big leap, and we were incredibly impressed by their courage and calm. They navigated the digital platforms with ease and treated every question as an opportunity to show what they know.
Our Year 5 students led by example. Having been through the process before, they showed fantastic persistence and maturity. Especially with a technical glitch on day one. We saw students checking their work carefully, managing their time effectively, and supporting one another during the breaks.
