Mrs Dominica Bearman
Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday, we celebrated the feast of St Joseph, the humble and faithful guardian of Jesus and patron of our school. St Joseph is remembered for his quiet strength, trust in God, and dedication to caring for his family. As a community named in his honour, we are reminded to follow his example by showing kindness, responsibility and faith in our daily lives.
As we progress through Term 1, our school community continues to thrive with meaningful learning experiences, special events, and important milestones for our students and families. Thank you for your continued support - your partnership plays a vital role in the success of our students and the strength of our school community.
As a proud Catholic Professional Learning Community within the Armidale Catholic Schools system, St Joseph's School is a place where faith, learning and well-being come together.
From Kindergarten to Year 6, our students are nurtured in a safe, inclusive environment where high expectations, strong relationships and genuine care shape every day.
Our dedicated teachers and educational assistants work collaboratively to ensure each child is supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We are committed to academic growth, well-being, and the faith development of each student, equipping them to be the best versions of themselves.
We warmly invite families to discover the difference at St Joseph's. We are now accepting on-line enrolment applications for 2027.
A sincere thank you to the parents who attended our Parents & Friends Association Meeting on Thursday 12th March. We are grateful to the following individuals who have volunteered their time to lead the P&F this year:
Our P&F is essential to our school’s success. The funds they raise support every student; for example, excursions, Year 6 shirts, Kindergarten welcome packs and working towards our new play equipment. Without this vital support, these learning opportunities would become significantly more expensive for our families. All parents are welcome to attend these meetings, which are held each term.
These subsidies are only possible through our fundraising events, and those events only happen with parent volunteers.
How you can help:
A huge thank you to everyone for your incredible effort and support towards our Barraba Show fundraising. From those who helped organise, set up and to everyone who came along and contributed—your generosity and community spirit made it all possible. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm shown by our families, staff, and students. It truly highlights what a wonderful and supportive community we are!
