Year 8 Camp
On Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th September, Year 8 students went to Camp Howqua. Upon arrival at the camp we were greeted and briefed by the Camp Manager and then started our first activity. Camp Howqua offered us lots of activities including archery, horse riding, high ropes, low ropes, flying fox, nature walks and disc-off. There was also free time where we could interact with our cohorts, playing cards or board games. One of my favourites activities was horse riding. We were given time to bond with our horse and then go for a scenic ride along the river. I also enjoyed challenging myself on the high ropes course and conquering my fear of heights. I looked forward to meal times, as the food was delicious! On the first night we had curried chicken with rice, followed by apple crumble with ice-cream. On the second day for breakfast we had toast and hash browns, before venturing out for our first activity of the day. We had many fun days, delicious meals and fun nights. It was sad to see it end, but it was also nice to get home as everyone was tired from the action-packed camp. Bonnie and I would like to thank our teachers for making sure that everything ran smoothly and for helping us have such a having fun time.
