GLITZ GYM EXCURSION

As part of the Year 7 Sport curriculum, students were able to pick the brand new option of Creative Movement. This was run for students that enjoy dancing, creating choreography and expressing themselves all while being physically active.    At the end of the unit students were taken to Glitz Gymnastics to participate in a 2.5 hour session, where they completed structured group activities by trained instructors.   All students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a fantastic time. The foam pit and running trampoline were definitely highlights of the day.

ATHLETICS

33 students from LHC participated in the Yarra Division Athletics on 30th August. Students performed admirably across the day with several finishing in the top three in their events. A particular mention to the following students who won their event and will head to the Eastern Metropolitan Zone Athletics in Term 4:

Finn – Year 7: 100m, 200m, High Jump

Gordon – Year 8:   800m, 1500m

Anastasia – Year 8:  400m

Harry – Year 8:  Shot Put, Discus

Ella – Year 8:  Long Jump
