Main Campus - Year 4
What a wonderful and busy term it has been in Year 4!
Throughout the term, students have enjoyed many exciting learning experiences and opportunities. Some of the highlights included the engaging River Detectives incursion, where students explored how to test and monitor the health of our local waterway, the Campaspe River, and the Year 4 Aqua Aware swimming program, which helped students build confidence and develop important water safety skills. Another memorable experience was the Carlsruhe changeover for students in 4AD and 4KR. We are incredibly proud of all that our students have achieved this term. Below are some of the students’ own reflections and highlights from the term.
4BE
Ajay - I really enjoyed swimming because I loved jumping in the deep end. I also liked the new carpet at Carlsruhe because it was comfy.
William - I like how we could make food from our garden. I also like doing work on our computers.
Archer - I really enjoyed building cubbies and doing jobs.
Oliver - I enjoyed swimming because I loved jumping in the deep end and doing freestyle in the pool.
Dalton - I enjoyed swimming and I loved jumping in the deep end. I also enjoyed dismantling cubbies.
Charlie - l liked swimming at school and playing soccer with my friends.
Ruben - I enjoy playing with my friends and creating games. I also liked swimming, even if I only did a bit.
Nate - I really liked jobs because they were very fun and maths because I'm good at maths.
Isla - I liked patting and holding the guinea pigs.
Havva - I enjoyed jobs and cubbies because they're really fun, and you get to hang with the animals in some jobs, and it's really fun. Cubbies are the best because we can start our own little shop and make things with our creative minds, and Carlsruhe is the best!
Lucas - I really enjoyed playing soccer with my friends. I liked building cubbies because I like helping others.
Isla - I really enjoyed playing downball and Gang up tiggy with my friends outside because it's very fun. Also doing jobs because I love animals.
Roy - Pulling potatoes out of the ground because it was fun. Doing data in maths because I liked making the graphs.
Maggie - I have really enjoyed playing with my friends and building cubbies because I get to make things out of wood. I enjoy doing jobs because I really like animals. I also enjoyed playing downball and hanging out outside with my friends.
Minato - I really enjoyed cleaning the guinea pig cages because I like the guinea pigs. I also liked playing soccer with my friends.
Lucy - I have really enjoyed doing jobs because I love animals so much. I also enjoyed doing cubbies with my friends because I like making things out of wood and sticks.
Ayla - I really liked the animals because I loved holding them and because they are really fluffy. And I really like having new teachers because I like learning new things every year.
4KR
Remy - I liked making chips out of potatoes, and Gang up tiggy.
Remi - I really liked the job because I love taking care of the animals. I also enjoyed cubbies because I like building them.
Florence - I liked the chooks and, the swimming.
Jude - I enjoyed playing soccer with my friends and playing in the cubbies.
Felix - I really enjoyed making Canva posters because I could be creative with my poster. And I also liked moving into Carlsruhe with 4BE.
Vivienne - I really like building cubbies with my friends. I also LOVE the Guinea pigs, especially Panda, because she is sooo chubby and cute.
Briar - I LOVED SWIMMING because the water felt relaxing on my under-moisturised skin and eating hot chips. It was utterly perfect, pure perfection. 🤤😋
Ava - I really enjoyed feeding the guineas because they are so soft. I also really enjoyed being with my friends and building cubbies with them.
Casper - I loved playing outside soccer because it was really fun, and it is one of my favourite sports. I loved playing cricket outside because it was really fun, and I loved being part of a team with Jacko.
Nettles - From the chickens squawking to the guinea pigs squeaking. My favourite would be the magnificent cubbies and the adorable Ginger!
Charlie E - I liked the cubbies because I could play with my friends, and I liked Gang up tiggy because I could run around crazy!
Sidney - I enjoyed the amazing chips and the cubbies because you could be so creative.
Annabelle - I like the part when we catch the bus because it is peaceful. I also like nature because it calms me down.
Beau - Playing cricket and huts were so fun because in cricket we got to make it out of wood, and i got to play with Casper.
Dejan - I really enjoy building Cubbies because my friends and I build gyms, banks, and sell wood to other people. Getting taught by Mrs Richardson because she handles problems easily.
Keira - I have enjoyed going swimming because I went into the deep pool, and i like going into deep pools, and my other highlight is I like patting the Guinea pigs because they are so cute!
Grace - I really enjoyed swimming because it was fun, and we got to jump in with clothes on and I really liked our Biome project because I loved researching the temperate rainforest.
Mia - I absolutely loved swimming because we learnt different swimming techniques. I also really loved doing our biome projects because I learned so many new things about biomes.
Archie - I have enjoyed Carlsruhe.
4AD
Maggie - One of my favourite parts of Term 2 was having two new teachers. I also loved spending time at Carlsruhe at the beginning of the term.
Georgie - I have really enjoyed having two new teachers this term. I also loved learning about different biomes and how they are unique.
Dom - I love playing soccer with my friends during recess and lunch. I also really enjoy participating in PE lessons.
Charlie - One of my favourite parts of Term 2 was PE because I enjoy being active. I also love playing soccer with my friends at lunchtime.
Reghan - I have really enjoyed getting to know my lovely new teachers this term. I also loved being at Carlsruhe and spending time with the animals.
Summer - I really enjoyed swimming because I love being in the water. I have also enjoyed having my lovely new teachers this term.
Jim - PE has been one of my favourite parts of Term 2 because I enjoy sport. I especially enjoyed swimming and having the opportunity to go canoeing on the final day.
Millan - I have enjoyed playing soccer with my friends during break times this term. I also really enjoy participating in PE lessons.
Remi - I really enjoy PE because it is fun and active. I have also loved spending time at Carlsruhe at the start of the term.
Amelie H - I enjoyed being at Carlsruhe because it was exciting to see the animals every day. I also had lots of fun at the school disco.
Eleanor - I really enjoyed swimming because it was fun and helped me build my confidence in the water. I also loved researching the Alpine biome.
Margie - I loved being at Carlsruhe because I enjoy spending time with the animals. I also really enjoyed taking part in River Detectives this term.
Anouk - I have enjoyed being back at the main campus because there are more people to play with and larger spaces to explore. I also really like our new classroom.
Xabier - My favourite part of the school day is recess and lunch because I get to play soccer with my friends. I enjoy spending time outdoors and being active during break times.
Evie - I really enjoyed swimming because I learned a lot about water safety and survival skills. I also loved researching and learning about my chosen biome, the Alpine biome.
Beau - I enjoyed swimming because it was fun and gave me the chance to learn new skills. I also love playing soccer with my friends at recess and lunchtime and learning about my biome.
Amelie E - I was proud to finish my biome poster on Canva this term. I have also enjoyed being back at the main campus because we have more time for learning and activities.
Arlo - I love playing downball with my friends at lunchtime. I also really enjoy PE because I like trying new sports.
Freddie - PE is one of my favourite subjects because I love sport and staying active. I also enjoy playing soccer with my friends during recess and lunch.
