That’s a wrap on Term 2 – and we’re already halfway through the year!
Looking ahead to next term, we have two exciting events to look forward to: Book Week and our Book Fair. As in previous years, the Book Fair will be held close to Book Week, creating a fantastic celebration of all things books and reading. More information will be available closer to the time (August).
All students have attended a library session this week, and those with overdue books have been reminded to check for them and return them by Friday. If books are still outstanding by tomorrow, a reminder email will be sent to parents and guardians during the second week of the holidays with details of the missing items.
We appreciate everyone's support in helping library books find their way back to school. While reminders may seem frequent, at any given time we can have between 150 and 175 books overdue or unaccounted for. Returning books promptly helps ensure all students have access to our wonderful collection.
To encourage great borrowing habits, I have started recognising students who consistently return their books on time with Bee tokens. It is great to celebrate these responsible readers and provide an extra incentive to keep track of books and remember where they might be hiding!
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and book-filled holiday break.
