Surf Camp

Year 9 Camps

On Monday 4 December,  students journeyed down to Torquay for an immersive, five day Surf Camp. Blessed with perfect weather, our students delighted in the finest offerings of the beach and engaged in activities such as surfing, sea kayaking, beach games, coastal walks, and a memorable mountain bike ride.

Throughout the Surf Camp adventure, students showcased a commendable spirit of self-challenge. Whether it was conquering the waves during surfing sessions, navigating the open waters in sea kayaking, or tackling the coastal trails during walks, each student embraced the opportunity to push their boundaries and challenge themselves.

The enthusiasm to step out of comfort zones and take on new challenges fostered an environment of growth, resilience, and camaraderie among the group. It was truly inspiring to witness the students not only enjoying the thrill of the activities but also embracing challenging themselves.

I would like to thank Ms Lucy McLennan and Mr Stuart Horner for their amazing work across the week and in preparation for the camp.
