Debating

Congratulations to all our C Grade and D Grade debaters on an outstanding season representing Oxley Christian College.

Our Year 10 C Grade Team 1 had an exceptional season, finishing as Champions of the Ringwood Region after winning all five of their interschool debates. Leah C (9.10), Priscilla P (10.4), Celina W-M (10.4) and Nicole M (10.3) should be incredibly proud of this achievement. Our C Grade Team 3 also performed strongly throughout the season, finishing third on the ladder.

In Year 9 D Grade, Oxley Christian College Team 2 also had successful season, securing second place on the ladder.

Many Oxley students were recognised as Best Speaker throughout the season, highlighting the strength of our debating program. A special mention to Nicole M (10.3), who earned the Best Speaker award an four times during the season.

We wish our C Grade Team 1 all the very best as they compete in the first round of finals on Thursday, 27 August. We are extremely proud of all our debaters and look forward to supporting them as they continue their success.
