Student Leaders Making a Difference 

This term, our Student Leaders have made a valuable contribution to the College, demonstrating leadership, responsibility and a genuine commitment to making Bemin a better place for everyone.

Throughout the term, our Student Leaders have been involved in a range of College events, including Information Nights, where they had the opportunity to speak directly to families and incoming Year 10 students. Sharing their own experiences as students at Bemin, they provided an authentic insight into life at the College and the opportunities available to students. Their confidence and willingness to share their experiences provided families with a valuable student perspective.

Our Student Leaders also played an important role in the Parent Teacher Conferences. They assisted families with finding classrooms and locating teachers, answered questions and provided a friendly and welcoming presence throughout the evening. They were fantastic representatives of our school community and demonstrated the importance of student leadership in creating a positive experience for families.

Importantly, much of their work this term has taken place behind the scenes. Our Student Leaders have worked hard to gather feedback and perspectives from their fellow students and have then brought this student voice to College leadership. Through these conversations, they have been able to identify areas for improvement, share ideas and work collaboratively with staff to help shape positive changes across the College.

This is an important part of student leadership at Bemin. Leadership is not simply about representing the College at events; it is about listening to others, advocating for students and working with staff to improve the experience of everyone in our community.

We are incredibly proud of the way our Student Leaders have stepped up this term. Their hard work, commitment and willingness to contribute both publicly and behind the scenes demonstrate the positive impact that student voice can have across our College.
