Junior School
Term 1 Overview
It has been a huge and exciting term at the Junior Campus, with our students embracing a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom. Our Year 7 students enjoyed a fantastic day camp at Lake Dewar, building connections with one another, confidence and teamwork through a range of activities, while our Year 8 students brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to their Futsal competitions.
Our Year 9 students have continued to develop their leadership skills through the Buddy Program, while also beginning to think more deeply about their futures through Morrisby profiling and career discussions. Our students went to the state schools spectacular, where they performed brilliantly under expert direction from Mr. Ridolfi!
Between Maths Week, Science Week and Book Week, there has been plenty to celebrate at the Junior Campus this term! Our students and staff have embraced the opportunity to celebrate learning in all its forms, participating in a range of engaging activities, challenges and experiences. It has been wonderful to see our College community come together to celebrate curiosity, creativity and a love of learning!
We finished the term on another fantastic note, welcoming our VM students from the Senior Campus, who shared their PDS projects with our Junior Campus students. It has been a busy and rewarding term, filled with opportunities for students to connect, challenge themselves, develop new skills and strengthen their sense of pride as members of the College community.

An incredible highlight of the term was the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, with 16 talented students from Years 7–9 proudly representing Bemin Secondary College. Our students had the amazing opportunity to be part of a large-scale performance alongside students from schools across Victoria, showcasing their enthusiasm, commitment and love of the performing arts. It was wonderful to see our students step outside their comfort zones, build new friendships and experience the excitement of performing as part of such a significant event. Thank you to Mr. Daniel Ridolfi for all of his expertise and dedication to this magnificent event. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our College, and it was certainly an experience they will remember for many years to come!

Hundreds of Junior Campus students were left scratching their heads on Wednesday 26 August, as an impressive number of Wally's were spotted roaming the campus, it became almost impossible to work out which staff member was which! This was just one of the many highlights of a fantastic Book Week celebration. A huge thank you to Ms. Heather Kompa and the team for their incredible organisation throughout the week. From Adopt-a-Book sessions in the library and the opportunity to hear from a real-life author, to a wonderful morning tea and plenty of Book Week fun, the week provided our students and staff with the opportunity to come together, celebrate reading and enjoy literature in all its glory!

On Thursday 16 July, our Year 7 students swapped the classroom for adventure as they headed to the Lake Dewar YMCA for an action-packed day camp! Throughout the day, students participated in a range of exciting team-building activities, including rafting, archery, mind games and much more. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves, work collaboratively, build resilience and strengthen friendships with their peers. It was wonderful to see our Year 7 students encouraging one another, stepping outside their comfort zones and embracing everything the day had to offer. A fantastic experience and a memorable way to begin Term 3!

On Tuesday the 15th of September, 2026, students in Year 7A and 7C were lucky enough to partcipate in workshops run by our Year 12 Vocational Major students. Students then enjoyed food stalls that the Year 12 students had preparerd as part of their Personal Development Skills projects. These included stalls with Otai drinks, cupcakes and baked goods and a BBQ. Thank you to Ms. Elise Fisher and the VM team for all of their work to make this day the success that it was.

As we head into Term 4, we ask for the support of all students and families in ensuring we finish the year strongly. Here are three key reminders as we reach our last term of 2026.
Wear your Full School Uniform
Students are expected to arrive at school each day wearing the correct Bemin Secondary College uniform. Wearing our uniform correctly demonstrates pride in our College and helps maintain high expectations across our community.
Be on Time to Class
Every minute of learning matters! Students should arrive at each class on time and ready to learn. Moving promptly between classes helps lessons begin smoothly and ensures valuable learning time is not missed.
Every Day Counts
Regular attendance is incredibly important. Students are expected to attend school every day unless there is a genuine reason for absence. Consistent attendance supports learning, friendships, routines and connection to our school community.
Thank you to our families for continuing to support these expectations as we work together to make Term 4 a positive and successful end to the year! We hope you each have an enjoyable break.
