Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction 

What a wonderful evening we shared at our Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction on Saturday 12 September. 

More than 100 members of our community came together to enjoy music, beverages and an impressive selection of delicious food prepared by our talented Café and VET students. The live auction created a tremendous buzz throughout the evening, with more than $15,000 raised for the College Building Fund and future projects. 

This outstanding result would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, staff, students and families. I extend my sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making the evening such a success.

Parking

I ask families to take note of important information regarding parking along Harrington Street. The Deputy Principal’s report in this edition of The Fountain outlines our current concerns and expectations in detail. Please take the time to read this information carefully and support us in maintaining a safe, considerate environment for our students, families, neighbours and fellow road users.

Attendance 

Parents and carers are reminded that students are not permitted to leave the College grounds during the school day unless they have been signed out through Student Services by a parent or carer. This process is in place to support student safety and ensure accurate attendance records are maintained. Further information regarding attendance procedures is also included in the Deputy Principal’s report.

CSPA 2026 Parent Survey

Families are invited to participate in the Catholic School Parents Australia 2026 Parent Survey on Student Wellbeing and Learning. Conducted by Catholic School Parents Australia and the University of New England, the survey provides parents and carers with an opportunity to share their views on matters affecting their children’s wellbeing and learning. 

Participation is voluntary, anonymous and confidential, and the survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Further information and access to the survey are available through the link here: CSPA 2026 Parent Survey.

Term 3 has once again highlighted the remarkable spirit of our College. Our students have approached their learning and wider opportunities with enthusiasm and determination, while our teachers and staff have continued to guide, encourage and challenge them. Our families and community members have supported countless activities and events with generosity and care. I am deeply grateful for the many contributions, both seen and unseen, that make St Mary’s College such a vibrant and supportive community.
