Principals Message

As we approach the conclusion of 2025, I would like to extend my gratitude to all members of our school community for their unwavering support over the past year. The collaboration between students, families, staff, and community partners has been essential in fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
I would like to take a moment to congratulate all students who were recognised at our recent Presentation Night. Your awards reflected a wide range of achievements across academic excellence, sporting commitment, cultural participation, and community service. These awards are a testament to your dedication and hard work throughout the year. Whether it was consistent effort in the classroom, representing the school at sporting competitions, contributing to cultural events such as our drama productions and music ensembles, or volunteering your time to support local community initiatives. Your ability to balance these commitments alongside your studies is truly commendable and sets a great example for your peers.
This year, we also say farewell to some long-serving and highly respected members of our staff.
Deputy Principal Helen Langley has been an integral part of our leadership team, providing guidance and support to both staff and students, and playing a key role in the Mathematics faculty and student wellbeing programs.
School Counsellor Tracey Jacobson has been a valued source of care and support for our students, offering guidance through academic challenges and personal matters, significantly contributing to the emotional health of our school community.
- School Counsellor Jess Buchhorn has provided essential support to our students over the past few years. Jess' hard work and kindness has been appreciated by our school community.
- Sally Taberner, our dedicated Science teacher, has inspired many students with her passion for science and commitment to hands-on learning experiences.
We thank Helen, Tracey, Jess and Sally for their many years of dedicated service to Narrandera High School and wish them all success and happiness in their future endeavours.
As we enter the holiday season, I encourage all students and families to take the time to rest and recharge. Please enjoy a safe and joyful Christmas break with your loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming our students back refreshed and ready to begin the new school year on Monday, 2 February 2026.
Ms Tania Maddison
