Christmas Cheer in the MC

Over the past four weeks, our students have engaged in an exciting and comprehensive project to prepare for a special Christmas lunch to have with their invited guests.. This project involved several key components that allowed them to develop a range of skills, from planning and budgeting to creativity and teamwork.

Firstly, the students took charge of designing and creating invitations for the lunch. This activity encouraged them to think carefully about communication, design, and how to engage potential guests. Alongside this, they developed menus, thoughtfully selecting dishes.

Meanwhile, the students handcrafted gifts and baked slices to be shared during the event. These creative activities allowed them to express their artistic skills and contribute a personal touch to the lunch. During the final days leading up to the event, they carefully packaged the gifts with attention to presentation, prepared desserts with precision, and gathered decorations to create a welcoming atmosphere.

On the day of the event, Friday, the students demonstrated excellent organisation and teamwork. They arrived early to set up the hall, arranging tables and decorations to create an inviting space for guests. The food preparation included making fresh salads, finishing desserts, and cooking meats, collaboratively ensuring that everything was ready to serve.

At 12:50 pm, students warmly welcomed each guest, guiding them to their seats with professionalism and courtesy. As a special gesture, every guest received a handmade gift created by the MC classes, embodying the students’ appreciation and thoughtfulness.

The lunch proceeded smoothly, with everyone enjoying the delicious food and the friendly ambience. After the meal, the students efficiently undertook clean-up duties, quickly restoring the hall to its original condition, demonstrating responsibility and respect for the space.
