Track and Field Carnival
The weather gods were in our favour for 2 fantastic days of competition Thursday and Friday 24th and 25th July. It was great to see so many students getting involved, with the day culminating in the running of the hotly contested Gap Gift and war cries.

District Track and Field
We have a large team competing at the District Track and Field to be held at the UQ facilities at St. Lucia this Thursday 7th and Friday 8th August.
District Track and Field competitors' nomination lists are displayed on the outside HPE noticeboard for students to peruse.
A bus will be available to transport students to the events on these 2 days, departing the school at 7am.
Mountain Biking
The mountain biking team will compete at the Rocky Trails Academy on 8th August. They will be heading to the Amos Road Trailhead at Mt Lofty, Toowoomba for the final race of the year. Tracks have been designed to test a variety of skills, including endurance, speed, and technical ability. Best of luck!
Year 9 Gala Day
Our next Year 9 Gala Day will be held on Tuesday 12th August at the South Pine Sporting Complex. This day will provide an opportunity for all students in Year 9 to participate in competitive sports. It is a fun day of social sport with their friends whilst playing against the other high schools in our districts.
Sports on offer to the students are mixed beach volleyball, basketball, netball, 7 a side soccer, mixed touch and ultimate disk.
If students opt to stay at school on this day, their classes are running as normal. For further information about the day please visit the Sports Hall staffroom.
District Sports Nominations - Cricket Trials

1. Discuss with HPE staff suitability to trial at the sports hall staffroom. 2. Nominate your intention to trial and fill out the nomination form at the sports hall. 3. Collect information pack for the trial.
