2026 Secondary School Immunisation Program

In 2026, the Merri-Bek City Council Immunisation Service will visit our school to provide free routine vaccinations for eligible Year 10 students.

Year 10 students will be offered:

• Meningococcal ACWY vaccine

   

Parents and carers will receive an online consent link from the school prior to the immunisation session. Consent is completed online and can be updated if required before the vaccination date. Only students with parent/carer consent will be vaccinated.

On the day, students will attend the immunisation session with their class, have their details and consent verified, and remain under observation for 15 minutes following vaccination before returning to class.

While school-based vaccinations are highly recommended, they are not compulsory. Families who prefer can access these vaccinations through their local council, GP or participating pharmacies. Catch-up vaccinations may also be available for students who missed their scheduled vaccine.
