Year 7 SCOE : Get your Motor Running

On Wednesday 17 June, Year 7 students attended an excursion to the University of Melbourne as part of the STEM Centre of Excellence Program, where they completed the Get Your Motor Running module.

During the program, students took on the role of engineers, developing their understanding of electric motors and applying this knowledge to design and construct battery-powered vehicles using a variety of unconventional materials. They combined scientific knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills to create vehicles capable of competing on the drag strip, testing their designs against each other in a series of exciting races.

Everyone had lots of fun, and can't wait for the next excursion!
