Year 5/6

It has been a wonderful start to the term in Year 5/6, with students enjoying a range of learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.
The Year 6 students have been working closely with their Prep buddies to create their own picture story books as part of our literacy focus this term. It has been fantastic to see the creativity, teamwork and care that students are bringing to this project and the Prep students have loved sharing in the experience.
Our Year 5 students are visiting the kinder children each Tuesday afternoon. These sessions have been a great opportunity for students to build relationships and make positive connections with the children who will be joining our school community in 2027. The Year 5 students have represented themselves wonderfully and are already developing strong mentoring skills.
Another highlight was our 3–6 Athletics Carnival, which was a fantastic day filled with energy and encouragement. Students supported one another throughout the events, cheering on their classmates and celebrating each other’s efforts. We were also thrilled to see some outstanding individual performances across the day.
It has been lovely to see students continuing to build confidence, strengthen relationships and make the most of the opportunities available to them this term.
