Casey City Council School Battery Blitz
For National Recycling Week this year, the City of Casey has created a “Battery Blitz” challenge for local schools. This competition aims to get students and their families in the Casey community talking about how to safely dispose of their household batteries. Batteries do not belong in any kerbside bin; they need to be safely disposed of in specialist bins for recycling. When batteries end up in our kerbside bins, they can cause fires. Batteries also contain valuable resources that cannot be recovered unless they go to specialist recycling processors.
So please drop your batteries into the front office for safe recycling.
Thank you from the Sustainability and Environment Team.
