Student Leadership News
Bringing nude food to school is a great way to help the environment and show that we care about reducing waste.
By packing our lunches without single-use plastics or wrappers, we can keep our school yard clean and reduce the amount of rubbish that ends up in landfills.
Plus, when we make the effort to bring nude food, we can earn 10 house points! It's a win-win for our environment and for our school community as we all take pride in keeping our school yard beautiful and litter-free.
Thank you from the Sustainability and Environment Team.
National Bandanna Day
National Bandanna Day is about raising funds for CanTeen. CanTeen helps young people who are coping with cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore their feelings about cancer and connect with other young people who are in similar situations.
To help raise money for this wonderful foundation, the School Community Captains will be selling cotton bandannas for $7 each. All bandannas are purchased via CompassShop. Students will receive a token to spend at our Bandanna Day Stall during break times. Please note the stall is not open every day. Tokens will be distributed on a regular basis to classrooms.
Students will be encouraged to wear their bandannas with pride between Monday, 14 October - Friday, 25 October 2024.
Remembrance Day
The annual Poppy Appeal is a charity that raises funds for veterans and their families. Funds are used to support current and former service people.
The School Community Captains will be selling Remembrance Day merchandise between Monday 28 October - Monday, 11 November. Poppies and other merchandise will range from $1 each to $3 each. Students are able to bring in their money and purchase these at school in Miss Cook’s room (Year 3 classrooms).
We look forward to our CSPS students wearing their merchandise with pride.
